Using The Wapping Project's archive of materials and imagery, as well as my own photography shot on 35mm film, I was given free rein to interpret the old hydraulic power station visually. All design decisions – from typefaces to colours and experimental typography – echo aspects of the building's properties, including size: the limited edition – its intended format – is A3 in size, creating A2-sized double-page spreads that nod to the industrial scale of the building.
